I'm babysiting today the usual kids that I take care of every Monday ('cept it's Thrusday and it being Christmas Holidays I get all four of them all day). (sarcasum)Joy!(/s) Now these kids are tired on a regular basis because their parents are a little linient on their bedtime and are letting them go much later than they should (great. I'm starting to sound like my parents) and they get up early as all kids... so they are tired (whether they believe me or not). I tired to put down the second youngest after lunch cause of a fight with his older brother and he was whining (#1 sign of cranky kids). Didn't work because he kept on getting out of bed every five minutes or so. Here I am bring a special treat of Shrek for them to watch and as soon as it's finished, the fights start again. These kids have everything that I'd like to have; a huge house, huge rooms with built in sound system, a PS2 (Colour Gameboy, Gameboy Advance.. yadda yadda)! And they fight over a paper towel roll covered in black construction paper (a pirate telescope). I sent the younger to his room for a short while and asked the older boy what had happened. "Nothing." Yeah right! When I started to walk towards him, he goes to the other side of the island in the middle of the kitchen (and this is a big kitchen - therefore big island. "Can't go over it..."). After trying to ask him what happened and telling him to stop, I asked Ashley to help me hold him in one place so I could hold him and talk to him. Ashley, the sweetheart helped and... Jordan hit her - several times. That did it. I took off my socks and chased him (literally) around the kitchen! When I finally caught him, he got it. I plunked him down at the kitchen table and told him to stay put. I releaved Jeremy from his room and replace him with Jordan. He's still up there now and I hope he dozes off. He needs it. When it was all over, I was so mad, I was still shaking. Still am actually, though it's not as bad as before. Man, that kid has always thrown bad temper tantrums. And I've been babysiting for this family since the eight year old was two (or younger). Hoo boy, now I have a huge headache. I think I'll lie down for a bit.
