Midterms. Well, all who are in school anyway. And animation is only slightly different. Instead of a million essays, you're given a major animation assignment due in three weeks. It sounds nice but with the amount of work that has to go into it, trust me, it's not. Although I think I'll make the deadline of 3:00pm next Friday, but I don't know how much sleep I'll get between now and then, but I predict that I might have an all nighter if I'm not too careful (which normally I'm not.) *sigh*
Well, this past weekend was certainly interesting. My parents were getting a demonstration of a air purifier by one of our neighbours, while downstairs our hot water heater decided that it had had enough of life and started leaking all over my parent's floor. When it was finally discovered that it was broken, the heater was empty and the carpet was full. No hot water in the house for showers all 'round! Mom and I ended up going to a friend's house to have showers Saturday night, cause with having church the next day, doing it earily in the morning didn't appeal to either of us. Best to sleep a little bit more in the morning than getting up that much extra to get clean. That shower felt good, though their massager in the shower was pretty pathetic compared to the one at home (the one where, if you're not careful, you can bruise yourself with the water pressure if it's on one spot for long enough - not really, but it's awesome).
Lately, I have seriously started wondering if I am suppose to be in animation. I'm not doing too well in it and haven't passed too many of the major assignments. My drawing quality and skill has certainly gone up several knotches since I first started animation classes a year and a half ago (let's hope so! This course is expensive!) So, my family and I have been praying and asking if this is what the Lord wants me doing at this point in my life. I ask for a sign, and I think I may have gotten one for the time being. I do not considure this a coincidence. Right before meeting with my teacher today, I went down to the cafeteria to get a bit of breakfast (got vanilla pudding - yummy). On my way, I picked up the Student Magazine that was in the racks near the trash can. Hurray for reading material! I was in line to pay for my pudding, when I looked down at one of the titles on the cover of the mag. It read "Resolve This! - You tried...you failed... now try again.". The article was about New Years Resolutions, but the phrasing of that introduction to the article, IMO, is a little strange for that topic. I honestly think that was for me. It's actually encouraged me greatly. I've been pretty down about this whole 'is animation the right thing for me?' lately, and I'm really glad that I picked up this magazine. The article meant absolutely nothing to me, but the intro is making a world of difference. Thank you, Lord. *s* Another thing to be thankful is, my mom finally bought the DVD player. I asked if we could rent one for the time being I was doing midterms for research (I love that!) and I also have Tarzan - Collectors Edition; bought it before stupid Disney pulled it off the shelves. Pulled? More like yanked! Yoinked! Stripped off the shelves prematuraly! RAAAAHHH!!! o.O Okay... it's getting late in the night. I can tell very easily! ...Uh... Yeah.
And now for something completely different... I also have a Live Journal going now. It's for rants, beefs, opinion stuff that I would normally put here, but now this is more of my "life" journal than the everything journal. And with Live Journal, you have an unlimited amount of little personality quizes that you can take. There is just so many out there to just post on LJ, that I've decided to start posting some results here too. Fun, yes? Yes. Here the first one. Whee! Ja! ~AW~
"I've never felt so alive!"
You are Heero Yuy. You are considered the Perfect Soldier and pretty much go through with missions as you are told or instinctly act on. You appear to be stone, but deep down there are emotions that help drive your actions.
