Mmmm... had a good day today.

I got together with Sango today. I wasn't feeling too good when I got to her house because it's been litterally been years since I rode my bike anywhere like that. So we watched the Great Big Sea concert I had on tape, both did some drawing and then we went downtown to Wallack's Art Supplies and The Comicbook Shoppe and The Silver Snail. Personally, I like the Silver Snail better than the Comicbook Shoppe, but I think it's because it's a bit more personal. The guy says "hi" to you when you come in and he's very friendly. Sango and I each got a manga; she got the 6th book of Eva and I got the fouth book of Fushigi Yuugi.

Funny thing is that I don't have one through three. I wanted to know how to draw Tasuki and that's the book where he makes his appearence (speaking of which... I did a sketch and I inked and coloured it. I will most definately get the ones that come bafore, but I don't like these translated manga books because the art is a really bad quality compared to the original... it's like they're photocopied - with a really bad machine! I did get a Cardcaptor Sakura book from Tokyopop a few weeks back and I really like that book. It's in the format of actual manga from Japan; back to front, plus the art is comsidurablly better in it than in the regular translated books that Sango has.

Next we went back to Sango's and had a grilled cheese sandwich.... oh yeah! That's good stuff.

Then we watched four episodes of Kenshin and then ordered Chinese food. I will never order #10 again; that shrimp is way too spicy for me. I think it has too much ginger, but I do have some chicken fried rice left.

Then we watched an episode of Cold Case Files, then The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks. It was really good. Not as good as Shawshank Redemption (another Stephen King novel-film) though. That took me to 11:30pm and I biked home.

The thing is, I don't have a proper light for the front of my bike... but I didn't come unprepared... I had packed a flashlight in my bag, 'cause I figured that I would be driving home after dark. What I didn't plan for was the temperature.

It was COLD!!!

It felt like October temperatures! Which I guess that it's okay since October is coming in two days (being out of school really messes up your seasons), but that's beside the point. Especially since the weather was really warm this week and now it's like this? Gotta love the country we're in. -_-;;

Tomorrow, mom and dad are going to Quebec City for a week. That's going to be nice, and I got four shifts this coming week; two day shifts, two evening shifts - I just hope they aren't too late.

I wonder if I'll make it to the Animation Festival this year. I want to go on Thrusday, but that means I will have to cancel a child care job in the morning as well as lunch with Mo and Danika.

Hmmm.... Decisions.... decisions... I'll have to decide soon to let the people know. Nuts! I hate cancelling stuff, but Thrusday looks like it would be the best day to go for good content. The film Waking Life is playing and CyberCat said that it was good. There's also a showcase on a Japanese animator and the second International Compatition. Those are always good.

Two years ago, I was volenteering and didn't worry about the pass that I was wearing around my neck... the only sucky thing was that I had to wait for everyone else to be seated before I could get in the showing... so I got lousy seats. Other than that, it was a sweet deal: any viewing (so long it wasn't full) for free. Now it's either $40 a day or $195 for the entire feastival...

...

I don't think so!

Well, we'll see.
