It has been a busy few days, I can tell you that! It's been so busy, I'm trying to remember what all I did. On Tuesday, I agreed to do a 7:30am shift because I needed the hours, plus it's only me dealing with it and dealing with me. The bus that always comes (during the day at least) at :45 and :15... didn't come at :45 - it came at :00 so i was ten minutes late for my shift and had to punch in at 7:45. Fortunately, it hadn't been too busy so I wasn't exactly missed. After that, it got a bit hectic. I don't really remember what all happened... but it was chaos and I was literaly close to snapping at someone for the little things. Something about making 180 creamers for 90 tables. Later it changed too 200... which wasn't that bad, but I don't now how many times I said "Yes, these are for both rooms." And the house-men had to put up a stage in one of the rooms so they were going back and forth with the electrical vehicles that could easily crush toes/limbs and get you a good money settlement for worker's compensation, but we were working in the back hall too and they didn't help the situation any. Well by the time it came to actually serve the meal... it was feeling very ill (partly my fault for not eatting a proper breakfast... or anything at all that is). I was so glad I was leaving at 2:00pm and not a moment later. The bad thing about that shift (which almost everything that could have gone wrong, did and brought friends) is that at one of my tables, there was a gentleman who wanted to buy my happy face tie. And I mean literally! He was getting out the cash and everything! I told him that I needed my tie for the uniform and that my supervisor wouldn't be too thrilled with me if he saw I had no tie on... He kept on asking me and said that it was for his 40th wedding anniversary that night... so I was actual considuing selling it for the $20 he had offered - I got the tie for only $10 (on special). But later, we were out of the room, and I was hardly eatting a bit of anything for lunch since I was feeling so ill (I missed out on some passion moose dessert!), I left without giving the man a definate answer to his face. Of course I gave him an answer of 'no' cause I still have my tie, but on my way back home... not only did I not feel well, but I had guilt in a big way. So I got home, popped on the computer just to check messages and then was going to crash most gracelessly into bed, when my sister tells me she's coming over with Heather and I should be/will be/maybe watching my niece while she and my grandfather went shopping for apples. ...! That worked alright... and I did crash when they finally left at 5:00pm. I slept til 7:30pm and did a good bit of msting "Taken Too Far Literally" (by author's request) as well as a top secret something I won't say more of. Then I went to bed around 2:00am cause that's when the sleep over took me and I was out. And since I'm getting sick right now and am actually having trouble typing and I'm currently starting to fall asleep on the key board and am getting dizzy and so on... I'll sign off. This is a very odd feeling. Will finish the entry for today, tomorrow. I'm just too tired right now. ~AW~
