Sorry for the delay in (part two) but I've been sick as well as sleeping a lot. Plus, I had almost finished typing up part two previously when Netscape crashed for no good reason and I had lost it all! So right after, I was not going to take the time to type it out again... so it's been a weekend and many sleeps after, and now I'm ready to type it up... again, though it might be missing some of the original humour and comments that I was right down proud in.

Thursday started off with some child care of eight children with one other lady. Eight children with ages ranging from non walkers to about 4 or 5. I got $15 for my services, then I walked to the bank to get out $200 for manga as well as paying back Danika for the three Great Big Sea concert tickets she had bought about two months prior.

I walked out of the bank at 11:30am; the exact time I was suppose to be downtown meeting Mo and Danika.

I finally got downtown (the quickest I could) in a half hour (which is pretty good) and met up with them. They were slightly peeved with me... Mo was anyway, but then they understood why and we went to the food court.

Mmmm... food.

Had more noodles, chicken balls and sweet and sour pork. Love that chinese food.

I payed Danika back and then we parted ways. I headed back to the Silver Snail (a comic shop of mostly japanese stuff) and got issue one of Fushigi Yuugi.

Then I stopped by The Comicbook Shoppe to inquire about a new manga I've found called D.N.Angel. Apparently it's coming out really soon by Tokyopop so I put one on hold for me... I do so love Tokyopop comics; just like the japanese style I've gotten so used to reading with.

After that, I rushed home to check on grandpa. Wouldn't you know it, this was the day that the city decided to fix the bus station and surrounding roads. That was...uh... fun?

Finally got home after waiting for about half an hour for the bus (I had my manga so I was entertained) and found granddad finishing up his apple pies. I set the oven for him and went to check my messages.

I discovered that FFU: 25 had finished downloading, so I watched that.

That was.... an interesting ending, that's for sure, but didn't have any time to think about it; must go upstairs to get dressed for work!

I got upstairs to discover that there was a slight hint of smoke in the air... oh dear... THE PIES!

I checked on them and they were only starting to turn black. I turned off the heat, told granddad and then got dressed for work.

When I got to work, there was a cocktail social going on... walk around with trays... for a half hour... how... exciting.

Then I was asked to act as a guide to show people to their award ceremony since the majority of them were getting lost.

Usually this job really sucks, but that day it wasn't so bad since the people were really nice... and there was a lot of them.

I honestly don't know how many times I said "Volunteer's Awards Ceremony? Down that hall to the end and it's on your left." I thought that when I was asleep, my arm would still be pointing occationally to my right I did it so much. ;)

Then it was a whole half hour break. Sweeeeeeeeet! What's for supper? Spicy chicken strips, perogies, jalopino pops, this stange cheese thing (which was good, but I filled up on the chicken), raw veggies and plum sauce! All the left-overs of the cocktail social and there was a lot since only about half of the people showed up.

The room had already been switched over for the reception for the Volunteer's Award Ceremony after. There were two giant cakes - one in english, one in french - chocolage fondues with fresh fruit, sweet desserts, coffee, bottled water, ... my mouth is starting to water right now... o_O.

My job was to watch the coffee stations to make sure they "stayed happy" (translation: keep them pretty and tidy and full of stuff).

I basically just refilled the waterbottle tubs and people were so thirsty that they wanted the water right out of the box. So I'd say about half of what I brought out went straight into people's hands.

Then it was clean up after that with putting away the lundry and what-not.

To make a long clean up short, I got out off work at 11:15pm. Thankfully this wasn't a weekend night and the buses were still running at a regular time.

I made it home and went online. For how long, I don't know, but as you saw in the prievous post, I started to fall asleep at the keyboard. I had taken some Advil Sinus and Cold and a gravol so my nose wouldn't stop me from sleeping.

And that's the end of my two busy days. I will catch you up in my weekend life... later. Probably tonight.
