2003-08-08 I'm trying out some recipes while mom and dad are away for five weeks (four weeks now since they've been gone a week already. Yesterday, I made an awesome alfrado sauce from Cambell's mushroom soup. It's really good. Didn't really expect it to turn out that well, but it did and I'm happy that it did. I also went grocery shopping today. Got buns for hotdogs and hamburgers, some coffee cake if I happen to have visitors that drop by (like my aunt and uncle happened to do yesterday without prior notice), juice, (orange, fruit and grape), salad-in-a-bag, breaded fish, chicken kiev, and chips for when Ara comes over tomorrow to watch MST3K tapes.
A few days ago, I found a dead mouse in the backyard's garden. Not knowing completely what to do with it, I put it in a bag and put it in the trash can. Last night was garbage night, so I got all the trash together and went to get the mouse. GAH! What a smell!! So that mouse was gone this morning with the trash. When I got back from shopping today, I noticed a very similar smell I remembered from last night, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I don't know why, but I thought, maybe it's under the dishwasher. When I looked, there were two mouse traps; one in clear light, the other much further back. I got a flashlight, 'cause even though it wasn't clear, it looked as if there was something in the further one. Sure enough, there was a mouse in the trap. Bad thing is now I have to have another dead mouse near the house for a whole week to wait for the garbage men to come around. Oy. ~AW~ "To err is human, to moo - bovine"
